Shoreline Stories
Beach rocks pass each day interacting with the tides, rolling in and out, at rest or pounded against cliffs where they haphazardly land on the ledges and find their way into little cracks in the outcrops. They find themselves in different situations every day, never knowing where they will end up at the turn of the tide or after a storm. They live in the present moment, their stories are endless.
When I go to a beach my head goes down, juxtapositions of colour or texture usually catch my eye. A red rock amongst the blue rocks; the way the light catches rocks when they are washed by the waves; the contrast between smooth beach rock and rough outcrop. I trust my intuition, listen to the stones and create a narrative and realize itβs a reflection of me and my journey to my true self.
