Foundations

This exhibition will transport you on a geological journey through the lower Humber Valley, along the Bay of Islands, into Blow Me Down Mountains and finally out to the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Along the way, you will view the beauty of this area through Lori Deeley’s sweeping panoramas and Joanne Cole’s finely rendered, geological details.

The two artists were commissioned by the Cabox Aspiring Geopark Project to create these paintings for an educational animated film titled “Our World in Motion”

This project and resulting exhibition take us on a journey through the breathtaking beauty of this area and its unique and diverse geology. This journey forms the foundation of life in the Bay of Islands and Humber Valley.
